English As A Second Language

English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction utilizes the TEKS to develop English language skills. The ESL staff serve as a member of a resource team that will facilitate second language approaches. This collaboration ensures that students are challenged to perform at a level commensurate with their linguistic proficiency and academic potential in all required subjects.

The goals of the ESL program are for students to:
- Improve their English proficiency
- Attain high levels of academic achievement in language arts and in content subjects
